"Why I Am No Longer A Christian"
Truly fascinating and thought provoking! Although I admit to being somewhat concerned when I read the title, I absorbed every word. I appreciated the occasional break, telling us to bear with you for the end result.
For many years I have heard preachers say that the "church" now has as many divorces & other "sins" as the unbelieving world, and asking us to change.
Now I know why.
For many years, although calling myself a "Christian," I could never be satisfied with attending any church I found.
Now I know why.
For many years I was sickened at the apostate churches that left me feeling a tug from the Holy Spirit.
Now I know why.
For many years I have been reminded that believers are not supposed to forsake the gathering & fellowshipping of believers, but I was still uncomfortable, even while knowing I needed to stay faithful to God.
Now I know why.
For many years I was uncomfortable with the various explanations of who Mystery Babylon was.
Now I know why.
Thank you for explaining to me why I love God, but felt uncomfortable as a Christian attending today's apostate churches. I have for years been called out of her, but couldn't explain it to myself.
